Finished the cleanse phase of my 24 day Challenge! I Stuck to eating clean and finished with 5lbs lost! I will admit that I did cheat once because I waited too long to eat and felt sick. I had a mini ham and cheese sandwich .... But I didn't let it get me down. Instead of using it as an excuse I used as motivation to continue on the next day!
So........I left the house this morning forgetting my Spark! If you've heard me rave about Spark over the last 9 days then you'll know I'm a HUUUUUGGGEEE fan. BUT, I forgot it today and let me tell you, I was dragging!!!! Not to sound like a broken record but as I've said before......It is amazing stuff. It makes me feel energized and helps me attain and maintain mental focus like no energy drink or supplement I have ever had before.......and did I mention it is sugar-free and with only 45 calories?? Yup, all the energy I need without the empty calories. I just don't get the rollercoaster of highs and lows I get with other energy drinks.
I did eat very well today but I didn't get my water in so I feel kinda sluggish tonight. It's amazing how my body responds to hydration and nutrition and is actually really starting to crave it. When I don't get it, I feel crabby, tired and spacey. Not the way I want to feel only a few days into my week. Lesson learned. Tomorrow I am back on the Healthy train and that's for sure!
So here's what I consumed today:
7:30AM - Morning Meal Replacement Shake ( mixed with a handful of ice and 8oz of milk in the blender)
10AM - Cup of watermelon ( it is extra sweet right now! )
12PM - Left overs from dinner last night ( Steamed cabbage, carrots mixed with Northern Beans) This was surprisingly good and filling.
3PM - a cucumber cut up with salt and vinegar. I am on a vinegar kick, it zing seems to really help cravings and it helps maintain your bodies PH. It also helps lower blood sugar levels.
5:45PM - I was starving and my hubby wasn't home yet. Since I really want to eat with him I had 2oz of Colby cheese and another Cucumber.
7:30PM - Quesadilla with black beans and chicken ( incorporating some dairy and carbs back into my life today)
SOON and very soon I will start putting exercise back into my daily routine. I don't want to overwhelm myself. That may sound like an excuse but If I can get my diet down to an easy to handle routine then I will go on to the next phase (regular exercise). It seems like every time in the past that I tried to do it all at once I just seem doomed to the failure which eventually happens
So I didn't get all my water in today and I had a long day at work so it's needless to say I am pooped. The kiddo went to the movies with a friend, so I think I will just go cuddle on the couch :)
